Kapok is an all-natural, renewable, silk-like material picked from the seed pods of tropical trees in South America. Kapok is the most commonly used name for the tree and may also refer to the cotton-like fluff obtained from its seed pods. It has no discernible odor. While it’s possible some people may have an allergy to kapok, most people do not, making this a generally hypoallergenic alternative to latex and a vegan alternative to down.
