Avocado may require a valid police report when a customer’s mattress or furniture is marked as delivered and not received — claimed as stolen.

Police reports can be made over the phone, in-person, and, in some cases, online. Most customers are able to complete this report within 10 to 15 minutes with their local police department. Below are some simple steps to get started!

  1. Research their local police station (a quick Google search usually does the trick!)

  2. Call the station's main non-emergency phone number, or file the report directly online if the functionality is offered.

  3. Let the station know you need to file a report on a stolen package for the company Avocado to replace a stolen delivery.

  4. Ask if they can do it online, over the phone, or need to go in person. Every police precinct is different!

  5. File the report. Common details required include:

    • Name of Retailer — Avocado Green Mattress

    • Date of Order

    • Date of Delivery

    • Name of Carrier

    • Where the Package was Left

    • Package Value

  6. Be sure to record the reference/case number when filing and save a copy of the report. If they have already been conversing with an Avocado specialist, send them the reference/case number and a PDF copy of the full report.
