All of our furniture is handmade in our FSC®-certified (C156318) woodshops. We do not use traditional lacquers or varnishes, which typically contain harsh chemicals and have strong fumes that can cause headaches, nausea, and respiratory issues. Instead, we finish our furniture with ECOS® Zero-VOC Wood Varnish. It is organic, non-toxic, has no traditional paint or polyurethane odor, and contains no solvents (such as formaldehyde and toluene) to off-gas into the air.

Our reclaimed furniture (including bed frames, dressers, and end tables) is available in "rustic raw." The furniture is sealed and contains no finishing stain.

See below for a breakdown of our furniture and bed frame offerings and finishing details.

Natural Wood Bed Frame

Our Natural Wood Bed Frame is made from reclaimed wood and finished with clear ECOS zero-VOC sealant. This also applies to our Natural Wood Dresser and end table.

Mid-Century Modern Bed Frame

Our Mid-Century Bed Frame, Dresser, and Nightstand are available in walnut or maple wood, all of which are finished with the ECOS zero-VOC sealant.

Malibu Platform Bed Frame

Our Malibu Platform Bed Frame is made with 100% FSC® certified maple and is finished with a zero-VOC ECOS WoodShield stain, which is organic, non-toxic, and odor-free. This also applies to our Malibu Wood Dresser and Malibu Wood Nightstand.

City Bed Frame

Our City Bed is made with 100% FSC-certified timber (walnut or blonde) and features ECOS zero-VOC finish. This also applies to our city nightstand.

Kids Bed Frame

We craft our solid wood Kids Bed Frame with 100% beech — a sustainable hardwood — in our own FSC® C156318 certified woodshop in Los Angeles. Available in a natural beechwood or a warm white finish. The frame is non-toxic, assembled with Titebond® wood glues, which are safe and produce no harmful fumes, and ECOS® wood stain or zero-VOC Polar Bear Behr® white paint.

Dog Bed Frame

We handcraft our Dog Bed Frame with upcycled scraps from our Los Angeles wood shop — all FSC®-certified reclaimed wood and Douglas fir. It’s finished with a non-toxic, zero-VOC stain and varnish.

Zero Waste Furniture Collection

We only use safe, non-toxic materials for our upcycled Zero Waste Collection. We assemble the collection with Titebond® wood glues, which don’t produce harmful fumes, and ECOS® wood stains. Our Zero Waste Collection includes a round table, coffee table, stool, vase, accent table, entryway table, slatted side table, and slatted bench.

Cedar Stump Side Table

Our side tables are made from 100% red cedar and use a zero-VOC Ecos Paints clear varnish, which is non-toxic, odor-free, and conforms to CDPH 01350 (VOC emissions test taken at 11, 12, & 14 days for classroom and office use), as well ASTMD-4236, specifically concerning oral toxicity, skin irritation, and respiratory effects.
