Most reinforced shipping tape is made with fiberglass fibers. Cutting the tape could release these fibers.

Please don't worry, the non-toxic kraft tape that we use at Avocado does not have fiberglass fibers. There is no inhalation, eye contact, skin contact, or skin absorption risk. It has no carcinogens or hazardous materials and does not pose any ecological risk.
