Most wedge pillows are cheaply made with a polyurethane foam core, spray adhesives, and a polyester cover.

These petroleum-based materials release toxic chemicals into the air during a process known as off-gassing — which can be intensified by the heat from your body when you sleep. These harsh substances negatively impact indoor air quality, the environment, and are associated with health concerns like asthma, respiratory problems, and skin irritation.

We craft our GOTS certified organic Latex Wedge Pillow entirely from natural, non-toxic materials. The pillow is also MADE SAFE® certified, a rigorous scientific screening process that only allows the use of ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems. The certification prohibits the use of harmful substances, such as flame retardants.

We cover the GOLS certified organic latex core of our wedge pillow with a GOTS certified organic cotton cover that's removable and machine washable. Our materials are sustainably and ethically sourced and processed and never include toxic chemicals, adhesives, or glues that are harmful to your health. That means no off-gassing, either.

Plus, our GOLS organic certified latex has received STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certification (19.HIN.79546, Hohenstein HTTI) — which requires annual lab testing to ensure no harmful substances are present as a result of processing, including banned substances, toxic chemicals, pesticides, and dyes.
