Every Avocado mattress is handmade in California using the same quantity of domestic and imported, certified organic materials appropriate for each size. Our organic latex is precision-cut, and our innerspring units are made to exacting manufacturing standards — these core components have almost no variation in size.
A Note on Size Variations
Even though the materials and components are consistent in size, subtle variations of up to 2 inches may be present when you first receive your mattress. Contributing factors include how long the mattress was compressed in the box, how tightly the covers were hand-sewn, natural variation in the needle-tufting process (which is done by hand), and environmental conditions in your home.
In 90% of cases, these variations disappear within the first 30 days of regular use, as the organic cotton covers gently relax and the latex expands naturally. That's why 30 days of regular use is required before warranty claims for size variations can be considered. A bit of patience is often all that's needed.
