Many natural mattress companies falsely claim that their latex is hypoallergenic. We do not make this claim and recognize that a mattress made with organic latex may not be appropriate for those with an existing latex allergy.

Latex is not hypoallergenic. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, less than 1% of the general population is allergic to natural rubber latex. The rate is higher among healthcare workers.

However, our latex is GOLS-certified organic, eco-INSTITUT® certified, anti-microbial, GREENGUARD Gold certified, breathable, durable, resilient, and sustainable.

Organic latex is also considered a "brown" composting material. Your composter or compost pile needs a proper ratio of carbon-rich materials, or “browns,” and nitrogen-rich materials, or “greens.” Other brown materials include dried leaves, straw, and wood chips. Nitrogen materials are fresh or "green," such as grass clippings and kitchen scraps. Organic latex requires about six or more months to decompose.
