Going Plusher with Pure Talalay® Latex

When we set out to develop our Luxury Pillow, Luxury Mattress (Ultra Plush Box-Top version), Green Mattress (Plush Box-Top version), and Eco Toppers (Plush version), we wanted to offer customers a plusher feel than is possible to achieve with Dunlop latex. After testing, we found Pure Talalay® latex ideal for plusher pillows, toppers, and mattresses. It has a different feel than Dunlop. Talalay is softer, with more cushion and slightly less bounce. Some customers say it feels similar to memory foam but without the sinking effect and trapped heat.

Because Pure Talalay® latex requires slightly more processing to achieve the plusher feel, it is more expensive to produce and does not carry a GOLS-certified organic certification. However, Pure Talalay® latex is eco-INSTITUT label certified and used within mattresses that are GREENGUARD Gold certified, meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, and achieve EWG Verified® standards. Plus, since Pure Talalay® latex is FSC® certified, it also meets the standard for being labeled as a GOTS-certified organic product. Every Avocado mattress is a GOTS-certified organic product.
