Adult Mattresses

Because we use premium materials and components, we do not have a strict weight limit for our adult mattresses. We design them to support a lot of weight. We recommend a maximum of 350 pounds per person, or 700 pounds total, for mattresses that can accommodate two sleepers, such as queens and kings. Heavier sleepers require better structural support and are best served when a solid foundation or platform and a sturdy frame reinforce their mattress.

Eco Organic Kids Mattress

Avocado’s Eco Organic Kids Mattress has been tested to support weights of at least 250 pounds—far beyond the needs of most children or teens.

Box springs are not recommended for heavier sleepers. If slats are used on a bed frame, the spacing between them should be minimal. With heavier sleepers, regularly rotating the mattress from head to toe will also encourage more uniform wear.
