Adult Mattresses

Because we use premium materials and components, we do not have a strict weight limit for our adult mattresses. We design them to support a lot of weight. We recommend a maximum of 350 pounds per person, or 700 pounds total, for mattresses that accommodate two sleepers, such as queen and king sizes. Heavier sleepers require better structural support and are best served when a solid foundation or platform and a sturdy frame reinforce their mattress.

Additionally, exceeding the recommended weight limits can lead to sagging, uneven wear, and reduced comfort. It may also void the mattress warranty, emphasizing the importance of adhering to these guidelines.

Avocado’s Eco Organic Kids Mattress has a weight limit of 250 lbs, ensuring optimal performance and durability for children and teens.

Box springs are not recommended for heavier sleepers. If slats are used on a bed frame, the spacing between them should be minimal. With heavier sleepers, regularly rotating the mattress from head to toe will also encourage more uniform wear.

Exceeding the weight limits can compromise the mattress's structural integrity, leading to sagging, reduced comfort, and potential warranty voiding. Regularly adhering to these limits ensures the longevity and performance of the mattress.
